Busy in Chicago

I haven't updated in a while. But that's nothing new. I have a busy weekend and week ahead of me. Tomorrow is Vince's graduation and his family is arriving from San Francisco tonight. I am excited to see them again. It has been a year since we last got together. I know Vince is very happy, although he's playing it cool. Vince and I have plans of where we're going to take them. We're both thrilled to show them around Chicago.

It's going to be a busy weekend for Chicago also, as the Taste of Chicago is going to start tomorrow. This festival of food and music draws crowds from all over the world. And the Chicago Gay Parade will be held on Sunday, too. There are concerts and festivals going on all over the city. Summer time is really a busy time in Chicago. I guess, people want to cram in all the fun that they could have in two months.

As for me, there are so many issues I have to deal with, issues which I can't blog about yet until I finally determine what courses of action I need to take. So many decisions that have to be made. So many weighing of pros and cons. So many sleepless nights and hours spent agonizing, mulling over things that are too significant to just give one thought. Am I too indecisive? Or just cautious? I want to be happy with the choice I will make. And not be sorry in the end. So despite the busy weekend ahead, I will not rush through making this big decision. I will take my time.

Paz: Taste of Chicago is usually held in July or end of June. I must say that it gets pretty crowded in the city during that time, and traffic is horrible.

Tess: I think you are right, I have to trust my instinct. I sometimes ignore my instincts that I am afraid they don't come anymore. Thanks.

Tin: I sometimes wish I was still a kid who has parents to decide for her. But then again, I do have to grow up. And from past experiences, my decisions have not all been mistakes. Thank God, for my brother and sister-in-law and the rest of my family who never fail to help me and support me in my decisions. Thanks.

Pazette: I hope the answers come soon. I realized that risks are part of decision-making. Thanks.

Hmm...hey, what "big decision" are you talking about, shelly? Inquiring minds want to know. And how come you've never told me about all this agonizing decision-making angst that have lasted for days? I've only heard about it a few times.

Thanks, Star. I know what you mean. Yan din ang prayer ko.

I will be here till end of July. But if you do decide to go to Chicago let me know when. Vince and I plan to visit the city at least once a month on a weekend, since 3 hours drive lang naman. Eh di sasabay na lang namin ang visit namin when you get there. I am excited to meet you.
