Random Twenty

Tess tagged me with the random twenty. It took me a while to think of twenty random facts about me. But here they go:

1. I first discovered I knew how to read through Funny Komiks(Filipino children comic books). I used to just look at the pictures, but so surprised when I realized I knew what the letters meant.
   
2. I'm no green thumb. A bamboo plant died on me before. (Heeh, and bamboo plants are supposed to be hardy and easy to take care of.) I have two bamboo plants and a jade plant who are surviving their third month with me so far.
   
3. I love eating at Cheesecake Factory only for the brown bread and the cheesecake.
4. When I was a kid, I always spent my summer vacations with my cousin Gina.
5. I love watching the sunsets and sunrises.
6. One of my favorite places in San Diego is Balboa Park where the San Diego Museum of Art and Botanical Garden are located.
   
7. I wanted to have my wedding reception at a museum, but for convenience we chose to hold it at a hotel ballroom.
8. I'm having a hard time adjusting to my new city right now. I wish I could go back and live in San Diego. (or even back to Chicago, just to get outta here.)
9. I was 20 when I went out on a date for the first time. The guy took me to a church(it was his birthday, so we dropped by church to say his prayers) and a movie. He left to join the military and we kinda drifted apart.
   
10. In highschool, I had this big crush on a guy who liked my bestfriend. I don't think my bestfriend knows about it until now.
    
11. I always go to work at least 15 minutes early.
12. At work, I always have a pen, highlighter, EKG caliper, calculator in my pocket and stethoscope around my neck. If I am missing any of these, I feel lost and disorganized.
13. I am superstitious when it comes to work, I never, ever say the word "quiet"
    
14. I love the styles of Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O.
15. I love hanging out at the bookstore and reading books/magazines.
    
16. My brother is my hero.
17. My favorite Filipino dishes are sinigang and kare-kare.
    
18. I like eating out.
19. My favorite fruits are mangoes and persimmons.
    
20. I have a lot of clutter on my desk.
    

Whew!!! This took me two days to finish.
